The Stage is set for another grand Digital Broadcasting Symposium

The ABU’s Digital Broadcasting Symposium 2018 has received an overwhelming response this year with delegates from 45 countries, representing over 250 organisations, set to be joining the event.

This year’s DBS will kick off on 5 March and will run until 8 March at the Royale Chulan Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

This is the 14th edition in the series and this year the symposium carries the theme “Enhancing Multiplatform Content”, with a focus on the technologies and techniques essential to developing the appropriate and engaging content required to target both the changing behaviour, and demands of audiences. The event provides international and regional exposure to our members and the media industry alike.

DBS 2018 is comprised of an international conference, focused workshops, comprehensive masterclass sessions and an industry exhibition showcasing the latest technologies and services from industry players.  The exhibition is free and walk-in visitors are welcome.

The detailed event programme and a list of the speakers are available at www.abu.org.my/dbsymposium.

The symposium’s Principal Sponsor is WorldDAB with four other Major Sponsors in MEDIAGENIX, MCMC, Rohde & Schwarz, and Dolby. In all, it has a total of 60 Sponsors, Exhibitors & Partners.

More than 70 eminent speakers will present on a wide range of topics of current interest to broadcasters and the media industry.

A highlight of the conference will be the Industry Debate on 8 March. Leading industry figures will look at ‘The importance of creative content for multiplatform success’ and discuss the challenges and opportunities for broadcasters going forward in this competitive environment.
