iM4U FM in Malaysia celebrated International Women’s Day by bringing strong, empowering women to Betul – Betul Live @ Chillx’s stage!

iM4U fm has done it again! For the first time in 2018, Betul – Betul Live @ Chillx was brought back in conjunction with International Women’s Day. Going above and beyond, this year’s celebration brought together empowering women to the stage here at Radio Lobby, iM4U Sentral.

With the theme of #PressForProgress, iM4U fm celebrated women worldwide by empowering and appreciating women through a day filled with fresh music brought to the listeners by strong, leading vocalists locally and internationally. Betul – Betul Live @ Chillx: International Women’s Day Edition saw Jaclyn Victor and The Venopian Solitude performing live acoustically in front of fans and listeners.

“Betul – Betul Live @ Chillx provides a platform for artists to showcase their raw talents through live acoustic jamming sessions with their fans. Buy doing so, fans will be able to engage and interact with their favorite artists,” said Kartini Ariffin, Director of iM4U fm.

“Betul – Betul Live @ Chillx” is a campaign that celebrates unplugged performances by top – notch artists consisting of Aizat Amdan, Oh Chentaku, Daiyan Trisha, Payung Teduh, an alternative Indonesian band playing a fusion of Folk, Jazz and Keroncong music; De Fam and MASDO, an up and coming Johor band playing classical Malaysian 60’s inspired music.

“International Women’s Day is about celebrating and empowering women all over the world. To look back and see all that we have achieved over time is something everyone should be proud of. Our artist line – up showcased strong women of different culture and background,” adds Kartini Ariffin.

“I’m thankful and honored for the opportunity to celebrate my fellow sisters around the world. International Women’s Day is about embracing and supporting fellow women for all the achievements we’ve reached throughout the years,” said Jaclyn Victor.

International Women’s Day 2017 saw iM4U fm Bangkit Squad heading to the streets on Kuala Lumpur to spread love and merchandise to women on the streets. Before going back, they headed over to Perumahan Awam Seri Kelantan, Sentul to conduct health screenings for women.
