Dick Tauber, former WBU-ISOG chair passes away

Dick Tauber, former chairman of the World Broadcasting Unions International Satellite Operations Group (WBU-ISOG), has died in Atlanta, Georgia, after a long illness. He was 73.

Mr Tauber chaired WBU-ISOG from 1993 until 2013 and worked closely with many ABU members in this role.

The group, now known as the International Media Connectivity Group (WBU-IMCG), brings together members of the regional broadcasting unions, satellite operators and other broadcasting service providers to discuss issues of common interest.

Mr Tauber retired in 2013 as CNN’s Vice-President, Transmission

Systems & New Technology.

He received many honours during his 32-year career at CNN, including three Emmy Awards.
