RadioAsia comes to Central Asia!

Broadcasting, radio and online experts from across the Asia-Pacific and Europe are meeting in Astana, Kazakhstan next week for the ABU’s three key media initiatives – RadioAsia 2018, the Europe-Asia Media 2020 dialogue and the Radio Song Festival celebrating the diversity of the Union’s membership.

The two major broadcasting events – plus the ABU Radio Song Festival – will be hosted in the country’s capital, Astana, from 10 to 12 July 2018.

This is the first time all three events have been staged together in Central Asia and the first such global media event hosted by Kazmedia, Kazakhstan’s leading-edge national media hub.

The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union is expecting a good turnout for the three events, which in previous years have individually attracted hundreds of delegates from the Asia-Pacific, around the world and from the host nation to discuss major issues facing the radio, television and online media industries.

RadioAsia is the Asia-Pacific’s major radio content event and this year, titled “Radio – Unity and Diversity” it will examine the challenges from a number of perspectives to engage everyone involved in radio production and dissemination.
