Congratulatory message from ABU to Thai and Japanese members

The ABU family rejoices at the news that all the young Thai boys and their coach, who were trapped over two weeks, are out of the cave, alive, safe and in good condition. We share everybody’s relief that this dangerous ordeal has had a happy ending.  

Congratulations to the Thai Navy and  international divers, the media and of course the extraordinary boys who survived the 18 days ordeal. We wish the boys and their coach a speedy recovery.

The world witnessed this extraordinary human endeavour thanks to the comprehensive media coverage. We are proud that the Thai ABU members showed high professionalism in the face of fast developing breaking story and the ABU daily news exchange brought the story as it unfolded to over 30 Asia – Pacific countries.
