ABU and DW strengthen cooperation

Mr Peter Limbourg, Director General of Deutsche Welle (DW), Germany’s public international broadcaster, paid a short visit to the ABU Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He was accompanied by Ms Petra Schneider, Director of Sales and Distribution and Mr Klaus Bergmann, Director International Relations and ABU Liaison Officer. 

The DW delegation with ABU Secretary General Dr Mottaghi, the Head of ABU SG’s Office Ms Natalia Ilieva and Mr Ahmed Nadeem, ABU Director of Technology and Innovation, explored several possibilities to bring the two organisations’ cooperation to a new level. Potential new projects are: enhancing Asia – Europe dialogue between media organisations, co-productions on climate change and refugee issues and capacity-building for ABU members in partnership with DW Academy.
