RTHK’s “90 Years of Public Service Broadcasting in Hong Kong” Exhibition

Radio and television broadcasting is closely related to the daily lives of Hong Kong people. The broadcasting industry provides news and entertainment, bears testimony to social events, and promotes history, culture and art. To mark the 90th anniversary of broadcasting in Hong Kong in 2018. Radio Television Hong Kong has organized the exhibiton of RTHK’s “90 Years of Public Service Broadcasting in Hong Kong” from now till 25th February, 2019 in Hong Kong Heritage Museum to look back at the development of Hong Kong’s broadcasting industry with RTHK as the focus through sound and image.

An opening ceremony of the exhibition was held on 6th November with The Acting Chief Executive of Hong Kong Teresa CHENG as one of the officiating guests. The officiating guests joined with hundreds of local broadcast gurus and veterans, as well as the parties who supported and provided their precious exhibits, for a massive group photo. The large-scale group photo represents a milestone in Hong Kong’s broadcasting history.
