IFFI screens two films for visually impaired – inspired by AIR

The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is screening two movies this year for the visually impaired persons with special audio described technology as part of Accessible India Campaign.

Meanwhile, to expand reach among the audience, the Press Information Bureau has launched the IFFI 2018 Flash Briefing Skills on the Amazon Alexa smart speakers. This enables Alexa users to listen in on the film festival.

Spokesperson at the  Ministry of Information and Broadcasting  Arun Kumar, who has been closely associated with the initiative, said the primary inspiration behind the project was the launch of All India Radio’s streaming services on Amazon’s Alexa smart speakers.
