PBC to launch Programme for Minorities

Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) is to launch a 15-minute radio show to encourage young talent of minorities from January 1 next year from all radio stations including Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore, Quetta, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Mithi, Bahawalpur, Multan, DI Khan and Faisalabad.

According to a statement issued here on Thursday by the office of the director programmes, Layaqzada Layaq, the new radio show would be put on air under the title ‘Humari Awaz’on every Wednesday in Urdu/regional languages.

It added that in the said show, minorities from various walks of life including the elected members to the Senate, national and provincial assemblies and union councils would also be invited to highlight the role played by minorities for national integration and brotherhood. It further said that the programme would be part of the radio schedule planned for the quarter — January to March, 2019
