Registration Opens for the 5th ABU Summit on Climate Action and Disaster Preparedness
The ABU is pleased to announce the opening of the registration for the 5th ABU Media Summit on Climate Action and Disaster Preparedness on 15 January 2019.
The annual platform that brings together media, government and non-government stakeholders of climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction moves to Nepal to mark the fourth anniversary of the devastating 2015 Gorkha earthquake. The Summit will be held on 25 and 26 April 2019 in Kathmandu. It is hosted by the government of Nepal and co-organised by ABU and its members Nepal Television and Radio Nepal.
The theme of the Kathmandu Summit is “Media Solutions for Sustainable Future: Saving Lives, Building Resilient Communities’’. The ABU expects in Kathmandu more than 250 representatives of media, government and UN agencies, science, business, grass-root communities, gender and disability groups.
