ABU DBS 2019 preparations in full swing

Preparations for the 2019 ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium have moved into high gear, with the event less than two months away.

The symposium takes place in Kuala Lumpur from 4 to 7 March. It comprises a conference, an exhibition, masterclasses and workshops, all designed to help broadcasters make the most of new digital opportunities in TV, radio and new media.

With the theme ‘Digital Transition and Transformation’, the DBS will focus on new technologies and solutions that can assist broadcasters achieve a smooth transformation of their facilities to all digital, in addition to the on-going transition from analogue to digital broadcasting.

WorldDAB will be Principal Sponsor of the event for the sixth year running. It will provide information on the latest developments on DAB+ digital radio, both in the Asia-Pacific region and further afield.

In the conference and workshops, a wide range of speakers will discuss how broadcasters can meet the technological challenges facing the industry. The three-day exhibition will showcase the latest technologies and services from around the world.

This year marks the symposium’s 15th anniversary. It now attracts more than 1,000 participants each year.
