Opening the program, Deputy Director-General of the International Cooperation Department, National Radio and Television Administration, Mr Yan Chengsheng, said the training programme aims at providing a platform of communication for Africa and China to explore new developments and challenges faced by the radio and TV industry in this digital era around the world.

According to Mr Chengsheng, ‘African countries have undergone a rapid improvement in economy, urbanization and household consumption capacity, thus creating a favourable environment for media upgrading and leapfrog development.

He added that China is ready to deepen cooperation with African countries in program broadcasting, news exchange, technology innovation and personnel training to share experiences and development.
