A 4-episode television documentary series, focusing on the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), is set to be aired on China Media Group’s China Central Television, starting from Monday.

The documentary spirals around the history and development of the CPPCC over the past seven decades with a great amount of detailed historical materials to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the CPPCC.

With each episode lasts for about 50 minutes, the production is expected to showcase the characteristics and advantages of the Communist Party of China-led multiparty cooperation and political consultation system, as well as a new type of party system.

The documentary is co-produced by the CPPCC National Committee’s general office and the Central Newsreel and Documentary Film Studio.
