The ABU Sports Network, is a platform to share, and exchange audio video content related to Sports. It will provide members with diverse content for sports programming. Materials shared and exchanged can be used in whole or part for news and programmes. Initially, the platform will carry sports news clips, to which members hold the right to share and distribute. The ABU Sports will exchange programmes and live stream in future.
The platform offers an enhanced free content distribution system, and to fully utilise the potential of technology. It will incorporate file transfer facilities during major sporting events, where members can access daily highlights among others.The initiative will encourage members to share and give access to wide range of content from the region, which will lead to a diverse, rich and vibrant television programming.
