ABU Technology Webinar on Video Compression Technologies and Applications

ABU Technology held a one-day Webinar on 26 March on Video Compression Technologies and Applications.

Presented by Dr Mohieddin Moradi, Senior Researcher, IRIB R&D, Iran, the webinar covered the fundamental principles and techniques of video compression with a brief on MPEG technology and standard codecs.

It also looked at the ITU-published compression standards and different codecs used in broadcasting and media applications.
