Programme Committee

The Standing Programme Committee meets once a year during the ABU General Assembly. All the annual activities that have been carried out by the Programme Department are reported by its Director during this meeting.

Programme Bureau

ABU Technical Review is aimed at engineers but also carries general interest news stories. It contains articles on new technologies, developments in broadcasting, innovations by members and other material of interest to engineers.

Technical Committee

The Technical Committee meets once every year during the annual meetings preceding the ABU General Assembly. At these meetings, decisions and recommendations are made based on proposals made by the members.

IPLC

The Copyright Committee (now called the Intellectual Property & Legal Committee) was founded in 1994 in the wake of the digital era to protect and advance the rights and interests of broadcasters.

Sports Committee

The ABU Sports Committee is open to ABU members interested in sports broadcasting. The group meets twice a year where it discusses sports rights and facilities to trends in sports broadcasting.

The ABU Technical Bureau consists of 18 members elected by the Technical Committee, who hold office for two years. The Bureau meets twice each year (mid-year and during the ABU annual meetings).
