19th ABU Copyright Forum and Meeting

The ABU Copyright Committee invites you to REGISTER and ATTEND the 19th ABU Copyright Committee Meeting and Forum hosted this year by our member National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT). The Meeting and Forum will held from April 24th -25th 2013 at the Hotel Grand Mercure Fortune Bangkok.

The ABU Copyright Committee meets annually to discuss, share, analyze and to inform members on copyright, intellectual property rights, broadcasting rights, piracy, and various other related issues and case studies from the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. Experts from this field also gather to advise the members on the changing trends in the broadcasting industry and on how we can protect our rights. Those expected to attend are the ABU Copyright Committee officers and members composed mostly of lawyers, copyright practitioners and specialists. The Meeting is open only to Full and Additional Full members, and the Forum is open to all our members.

It is a very critical time for broadcasters, therefore the ABU Copyright Committee urges our members to attend the meeting and forum, to deliberate on the copyright and related issues, and to gain support for the broadcasters treaty intended to protect us from piracy. Come, share and gain knowledge that will help your organization and the broadcasting industry in years to come. For any additional information and for an updated agenda please contact: Premila Manvi, Legal Officer at premila@abu.org.my and cc to kim@abu.org.my
