4th REGIONAL WORKSHOP ON DAB + DIGITAL RADIO BROADCASTING
23rd to 27th July 2018, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The workshop organised by ABU-ASBU-AIBD-WorldDAB aims to provide broadcasters and other media professionals with a clear understanding of digital radio broadcasting services, aiming to build and enhance confidence among the participants to design, plan and operate DAB+ technology based digital radio broadcasting services. This five-day workshop will provide expert knowledge and information on the current status of digital terrestrial radio broadcasting, interactive multimedia services, digital radio broadcasting: issues & challenges as well as sharing some of the case studies and experiences in the process of transition from analogue to digital.
The workshop is designed for a wide audience of Policy Makers, Regulators, Broadcast Engineers, Corporate Executives and Managers, i.e. middle-level managers, administrators and officials dealing with strategic planning for the introduction and business development of Digital Terrestrial Radio Broadcasting.
It is envisaged that by the end of the workshop the participants will be able to understand:
WORKSHOP VENUE
The workshop will take place at IPPTAR training facility in Angkasapuri where RTM complex is located.
ACCOMODATION
We have made arrangements for participants to stay in the CaPITOL hotel for the special rate of MYR200 nett (approx. US$50.00) per night in a single deluxe room with breakfast. We recommend all overseas participants to stay at this location as we will arrange a transport in the morning and in the afternoon. It is essential all participants come to the venue by 8.45AM. As the number of rooms is limited early registration is advised.
REGISTRATION

As the number of participants is strictly limited, early registration is suggested. Training positions are allocated on first-come-first-serve basis in an equitable manner.
There are no registration/participation fees for ABU and ASBU members only.
Non-members will need to pay a registration fee of US$250.00 to cover the participation costs for the five days.
All expenses on the travel and stay of your nominee are to be borne by your organisation.
