“The 30th ABU Intellectual Property & Legal Committee (Ex-Copyright Committee) will be held on 6 and 7 March 2024 at Royal Chulan in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The theme for this year’s IPLC is Legal and Ethical Issues Related to Generative AI for Media and Broadcaster Sector.

The IPLC meeting will take place on 6 March 2024 from  2 P.M. – 5 P.M at Royal Chulan. It is a closed door meeting of ABU members. Only ABU Full members, Additional Full Members, and Associate Members are allowed to attend the meeting. The IPLC Chairperson may exceptionally allow ABU Affiliate and ABU Institutional members to join the meeting. In extremely rare cases, non-ABU members may be allowed to attend the IPLC meeting.

The IPLC conference will take place on 7 March 2024 from 9 A.M. till 5 P.M. at Royal Chulan. The IPLC conference is open to both ABU members and non-ABU members though preference will be given to ABU members. Non-ABU members will be allowed to attend subject to availability and seating capacity. Lunch and coffee vouchers will be provided at no price to ABU members.  Non-ABU members who wish to have lunch and coffee at Royal Chulan may purchase the vouchers at the conference venue. Vouchers will be available at nominal prices.

Registration deadline for foreign delegates is 28 February 2024. Walk-in registration is open for local participants.

REGISTRATION
Registration for 30th ABU IPLC has now closed for international delegates. Walk-in registration is possible for Day 2 i.e. 7 March 2024 though meal vouchers will provided to ABU members subject to availability. Meal and coffee vouchers are available to non-ABU members on payable basis.
