ABU-AIBD Regional Workshop on New Media for Broadcasters
21 November to 23 November 2016, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

ABU in collaboration with Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) is organising a Regional Workshop on New Media for Broadcasters from 21-23 November 2016 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 

The aim of this 3-day workshop is to help participants understand the impact of new media on traditional media practices, particularly in content creation and audience engagement, and how broadcast media organisations are adapting to digital ways of doing things. Participants will also learn how to apply key new media and social media tools, trends and approaches in their daily working life.


WHO IS IT FOR
This new media workshop is specifically designed for TV, Radio and Online directors, managers, producers and reporters. It is also suitable for executives in charge of online communication, strategy and marketing in your organisations.

INVITATION
We would like to invite you to join this interactive workshop to explore social media trends and tools to create and promote content and increase audiences. We hope to inspire you to develop digital content and multimedia stories using a variety of new approaches.

PROGRAMME

WORKSHOP VENUE AND ACCOMMODATION
The workshop will take place at IPPTAR Building in Angkasapuri where ABU Secretariat is located. We have made arrangements for participants to stay at IPPTAR Hostel in Angkasapuri. The rate is MYR80 nett (approx. USD20.00) per night. As the number of rooms is limited early registration is advised.

Alternatively, participants can choose to stay at the nearby Cititel Hotel for the special rate of RM260 nett (approx. USD60.00).

There is no registration or participation fee for ABU members.

All expenses on the travel and accommodation of your nominee are to be borne by your organisation.
