Twenty journalists and programmakers from around Indonesia gathered in Malang, East Java, to learn the latest storytelling and production techniques that could put them in the winner’s circle for ABU Prizes. The two-day workshop – on the eve of Indonesia’s Presidential election- covered all genres of programs in the ABU Prizes Radio categories and explored different techniques for enriching content and production that would stand out among the region’s best programming.
Head of the Radio Republik Indonesia Supervisory Board Mr Mistam was delighted to see such a good turnout.“This bodes well for RRI’s target of winning an ABU Prize,” he told participants.
RRI Director of Programme Production Mr Soleman Yusuf encouraged the participants to work hard, learn and share their knowledge with colleagues. “This will bring continuous improvement to the quality of RRI’s programming output,” he said. Head of ABU Radio, Olya Booyar, felt a highlight of the workshop was bringing together Radio program makers from 14 different RRI centres and seeing them.
