As 2021 gets underway and with the challenge of reporting in a pandemic still a significant issue for Members, the ABU’s News Department is keen to start hosting regular meetings of the heads of Asiavision Newsrooms to improve coverage and give support.

It will be a chance to exchange ideas and network, to discuss innovations, and to share best practices from the hard-won lessons of COVID-19.

It would be a forum for all Members to take part. We’re calling it an Editors-in-Chief Meeting but each broadcaster will be different. There will be News Editors, International Desk Producers, Newsroom Managers, and sometimes, an Editor-in-Chief.
