ABU/ESCAP/UNESCO Workshop
18-19 June 2013, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Saving lives and property threaten by natural or human made disasters requires broad cooperation between various government agencies, media and NGOs working with local communities. The two-day workshop is an effort to bring together all stakeholders in the process of gathering and disseminating information about pending disasters in Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, India, Malaysia and the Maldives. Hopefully, as a result these countries become a step closer to developing timely and effective systems for disseminating crucial information to widest possible audiences (including vulnerable groups as women, children, persons with disabilities and elderly people) and ultimately save lives.

The workshop will take place in Kayangan 1, Level 1 of the AnCasa Hotel & SPA Kuala Lumpur, Jalan Tun Cheng Lock, 50768 Kuala Lumpur. Tel: 603 2026 6060 and e-mail: reservation@ancasanet.com.
