The 1st ABU Media Summit on Climate Change, ICTs and Disaster Risk Reduction took place on 4-6 June 2014 at Hotel Borobudur, Jakarta, Indonesia.  This regional Summit was organised by the ABU and hosted by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.
  
    
The Summit discussed the role of the med
ia in raising public awareness of the effects of climate change and promoting ways of mitigating them. It also addressed the responsibilities of the media before, during and after disasters. The Summit provided a platform for all involved in disaster emergency warnings to work together for better coordination.

The ABU invites you to join the Summit on Climate Change, ICTs and Disaster Risk Reduction that will be held in Jakarta from 4-6 June 2014.
