As the changes of implementing new technologies are impacting various parts of the broadcast chain, broadcast
professionals are faced with new operational workflows and implementing new projects in these challenging
environments. It is necessary to broaden the management skills to be able to handle operational changes and prepare
implementation plans.
To address this need the ABU Technology has organised a Regional Workshop on Management in Production for
Broadcasters, and this will be held from 24-26 July 2012 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The objective of the workshop is to expose senior production personnel and executives both in content production and
engineering to techniques and methodology associated with operational and project management. How to make use of
the available resources to achieve the optimum output required and the processes involved in managing and
implementing successful projects.

We are delighted to invite you and your organisation to participate in this workshop. Please nominate suitable
participants who will benefit from this workshop. Early registration will be appreciated.
ACCOMMODATION
The workshop will take place at the IPPTAR training facility in Kuala Lumpur. The participants will be able to stay at the
PPTAR hostel facility at a special concessional rate of MYR 80.00 (approx. USD 27.00) per night. They will also have to
pay a meeting package of MYR 40.00 (approx. USD 14.00) per day inclusive of breakfast, lunch and two tea breaks
during the workshop days.
As the number of rooms is limited early registration is advised.
Alternative hotel accommodation may also be arranged by the participants on their own or with our assistance.
