REGIONAL WORKSHOP ON

OTT AND HYBRID TECHNOLOGIES FOR BROADCASTERS

We
are pleased to inform you that the ABU in cooperation with Tun Abdul Razak
Broadcast and Information Institute (IPPTAR) has organised a regional workshop
on Over-The-Top (OTT) and Hybrid Technologies for broadcasters which will be of
significant interest to all broadcasters in the region.

OTT
and Hybrid Technologies can be looked as an opportunity for the broadcasters if
they are ready to make the move now. Implementing these technologies can help
increase the broadcasters reach and at the same time provide an enhanced
experience for the audience.

This
three day workshop will introduce these technologies and address some of the
main issues that broadcasters are facing when they want to introduce OTT and
Hybrid services within their portfolio. It will not only explore the technology
but also look at other value added services and business opportunities that
they can introduce to attain a competitive edge in the market place.  

INVITATION

We
are delighted to invite colleagues involved in technical and production operations
as well as others interested from your organisation to participate in this “OTT
and Hybrid Technologies” event.

The
event will be held from the 19 – 21 Nov 2013 in Kuala Lumpur.

REGISTRATION

Please forward
your nominations in the attached registration form, at the latest by 5^th
Oct 2013. As the number of participants is limited, early registration will
ensure that your nominees are accepted.

ACCOMODATION

The workshop
participants will be able to stay at the IPPTAR hostel at special concessional
rate of RM 80.00 (approx. USD 27.00) per night. They will also have to pay a
meeting package of RM 25.00 (approx. USD 8.50) per day inclusive of breakfast,
lunch and two tea breaks. As the number of rooms is limited early registration
is advised.

Alternative hotel
accommodation may also be arranged by the participants.

EXPENSES

All expenses on the
travel and stay of your nominee are to be borne by your organisation. There is
no participation fee for ABU members and IPPTAR nominees.
