DVB-T2 Technology Implementation Workshop
4-6 December New Delhi

DVB-T2 Technology Implementation Workshop is an event designed for the Indian TV broadcasters and those planning to take up TV broadcasting in general and in particular planning to implement DVB-T2 technology. The main objective is to impact knowledge and expertise to these broadcasters on implementation aspects of DVB-T2, as against theoretical system description. The event is a joint project of the ABU, DVB and Doordarshan India (DDI) as the local partner and host.

DVB-T2 is a rather complex subject and its complexity is enhanced in terms of implementation.  The event will empower the active broadcasters in India and in the neighborhood to closely look at the implementation issues of DVB-T2 technologies, the choices that should be made in terms of configuration and frequency planning, equipment planning and also for the network. 

The workshop will be really equip the participants with enough information so that they can take some informed decisions on the system / parameter configuration and implementation aspects of this technology which has been selected for take up in India. The proposed three-day workshop would be quite optimum as it will provide a good opportunity for the T2 experts to discuss the system, its parameters, its implementation, results of the trials and also implementation aspects specifically related to India.
