This project will be a Series of Workshops with different trainers on Kids’ related contents on  topic each time.

From Storytelling to Animation, Sound Design, casting etc…..which was supposed to be onsite/face to face by

sending trainers to certain group of children content makers.

It is a separate project from ABU KIDS(children content exchange , previously known as ABU Children Item-Exchange)

Trainer's Profile

JAN-WILLEM BULT
An international film & tv maker/lecturer from the Netherlands, working from Amsterdam and Buenos Aires. His work for children’s media is known by his ‘Children in the Centre’ philosophy based on a strong belief in the autonomy of children. Since 2015 he is also the Head of Children, Youth & Media at Free Press Unlimited, an international NGO working from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He is leading a.o. WADADA News for children or youth, a crossmedia cooperation established in already 21 countries worldwide. Another project Bult is known for is ‘My #QuarantineLife’, a YouTube channel for news, opinions, stories and ideas of young people worldwide in quarantine during the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. Bult independently also creates and produces media for development and change for UN organizations such as UNESCO and UNICEF. At the age of 17 Jan-Willem Bult started his first film production company and later also studied pedagogics and football. Immediately after his studies he got his first professional assignment as a director/scriptwriter of film, tv, interactivity. From 1995-1997 he was also Program Director of 2 thematic channels in The Netherlands: KinderNet (children 3-12) and VTV (women 20-49). In 1997 KRO Netherlands Public Broadcasting appointed Jan-Willem Bult as Creative Head of Children & Youth dept. which he continued for 16 years in which he created over 125 programs, series and films, besides dozens of (inter-)national coproductions and also created and lead the digital public channel Family24. He has received numerous awards such as Prix Jeunesse International, Japan Prize, UNICEF Award, Dutch Academy Award, Prix Danube, UNESCO Prize and nominations such as International Emmy Award and European Broadcaster of the Year. He has been a panelist and moderator at festivals and conferences worldwide and was a guest lecturer at Universities in Rome, Santiago de Chile, Cali, Sao Paulo, Bogotá, Tel Aviv, Sderot, Buenos Aires, Amsterdam. Since 2007, Jan-Willem Bult also launched Children in the Centre foundation (aka JWBfoundation), through which he volunteers in the creation of children’s media & sports for development & peace. He has created, produced and lectured media in over 65 countries worldwide.
