Pacific Media 2034: Charting a course for the next decade
We are delighted to invite you to the 2024 edition of the Pacific Media Partnership Conference (PMPC) in the Australian city of Brisbane, known as Meeanjin by traditional owners the Turrbal people.
On the agenda will be discussions on story sovereignty, journalism in an age of social media, emergency broadcasting, and what the region needs in its next generation of media leaders. We’ll also return to conversations started at our conference in 2023 including coordinating donor funding, women in leadership, measures to protect journalistic and media freedom and digital transformation.
The PMPC is an opportunity to harness the collective wisdom and experience of the region’s most experienced broadcasters and the resources of the world’s biggest broadcasting union to map a path forward. Attendees will work together on a host of practical issues with workshops, masterclasses, expert guests and working groups, plus formal and informal networking.
PMPC 2024 will be held at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s headquarters in Brisbane, which is part of the popular Southbank cultural precinct and a 10-minute walk from the city centre.
Register now at https://www.abu.org.my/pmpc2024-registration/ and join us in Brisbane in April for PMPC 2024!
