We are pleased to inform you that the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) is organising a Workshop on Cloud Technologies for Media Services from 25-27 July 2022 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This will be a face-to-face  event.

Broadcasters and the media industry are gradually migrating to connected networks and distribution technologies. Also are deploying internet enabled platforms for production, distribution, storage and delivery of their services. For this, many are moving to cloud-based services within their operations and workflows. This workshop on Cloud Technologies for Media Services will focus on the applications of such cloud-based technologies and platforms in the media environment. The sessions will look at how media operators can leverage cloud technologies and what areas would be the most beneficial to implement both in production and distribution. The sessions will discuss different areas such as Cloud technologies, Media workflows, System integration, Distribution, Media asset management (MAM), Playout and others.

INVITATION

We are delighted to invite you and your organisation to join the workshop. The content of the workshop will be interesting to all broadcasters including Technicians, Engineers and Managers working with Radio and TV Broadcasters at the Production, Transmission, New Media or IT domain, and other professionals who are interested to learn innovations in these areas.

WORKSHOP VENUE

The workshop will take place at Hotel Melia Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

ACCOMMODATION

We have made arrangements for participants to stay in the same hotel for the special rate of MYR225.00nett (approx. US51.40) per night for single occupancy and MYR240.nett (approx.US54.80) for double occupancy. As the number of rooms is limited early booking is advised. Please see the attached hotel booking form.

EXPENSES

There are no registration/participation fees for ABU members. Non-members will have to pay a registration fee of US$200.00 to cover meeting costs for the workshop.
All expenses on the travel and stay of your nominee are to be borne by your organisation.
