ABU BROADCAST ENGINEERING AWARD on SDGs IMPLEMENTATION 2023

As decided at the Technical Committee meeting in 2021, The ABU Broadcast Engineering Award on SDGs Implementation is the replacement for the earlier ABU Green Broadcast Engineering Award. Implementation of more environment friendly and energy efficient technologies or green technologies, is included among the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) indicators, so this change effectively wides the scope of the award at the same time it also helps to promote and encourage projects addressing these goals.
The SDGs Implementation award is directed at ABU member organisations from all segments of the broadcasting industry within the ABU region including affiliate members. The award recognises outstanding contributions and achievements in developing, implementing and/or promoting the SDGs within the broadcasting industry and creating tangible benefits in the process. The award, comprising a trophy and a citation plaque, will be presented at the opening session of this year’s Technical Committee meeting.
