Misinformation and disinformation has drastically increased in recent years, spread intentionally or unintentionally via social media, media outlets, organisations and political parties.

How can we recognise, manage and counter misinformation and disinformation?

In the Taming Misinformation webinar, you will hear from leading experts on the subject who will help you understand the extent of misinformation and provide you with strategies for dealing with it.

The webinar is delivered by AsiaVision and the ABU Media Academy in conjunction with 360info.org, an independent not-for-profit, global wire agency working with researchers worldwide. The information is sourced from a series of articles published by experts on the subject and can be found on the 360info.org site.

The articles are available to publishing and broadcasting content partners across the Asia-Pacific region.

Andrew Jaspan, Professor, Editor and Director 360info.org will be joined by 360info authors, Tanya Notley, Associate Professor, Western Sydney University, and Daniel Angus, Professor, Queensland University of Technology in a discussion about Taming Misinformation, moderated by Steve Ahern, Head of the ABU Media Academy.
