4^TH ABU INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & LEGAL COMMITTEE (IPLC)

The 4th ABU Intellectual Property & Legal Committee (ex-Copyright Committee) will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on March 2nd and March 3rd, 2020. The theme for this year’s IPLC is “International Conventions and Broadcaster Rights: The Future” where it will be hosted by Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU).

The IPLC is the ABU Legal Division’s flagship committee and forum which deals with contemporary legal and copyright issues related to broadcasting. The next IPLC will be enriching as it will throw light on legal issues related to international conventions and broadcaster rights in the age of convergence.

The first day of the IPLC (March 2nd,2020) is a session meant only for ABU’s Full Members, Additional Full Members and Associate Members while the second day (March 3rd, 2020) is the forum where presentations on contemporary legal topics are made by eminent lawyers, legal professionals and other experts on matters related to broadcasting.

Both the meeting and the forum will take place at Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur.
